How Splendore can help children with learning challenges
In Splendore Montessori, we celebrate the success of each child’s milestones. We customize our lessons accordance to their developmental age, strengths and challenges of the child. Excellent teacher-to-student ratio (1 to 1 or small group setting) and Home intervention activities further help the child to excel in their learning.
1) Behavioural challenges Behavioural Challenges include lack of flexibility, trouble controlling emotions, and difficulty sticking to rules.
In Splendore environment, the structure, order, and quietness of the classroom are therapeutic. Excellent bonding with the child and teacher-to-student ratio help the child to excel in their learning and reduce their behavioural issues. As we focus on classroom rules, we teach the children to respect the classroom materials, be responsible, and act with integrity. This can help put “problem children” on the right track. Excellent teacher-to-child ratio further helps the child to excel in their learning.
2) Learning challenges Learning challenges include Attention deficit disorder (ADD) or dyslexia (sometimes called a “reading disorder”) or Global developmental delay.
At Splendore Montessori, we do not have a one-size-fits all curriculum. Our tailored curriculum helps the children in all aspects, who are learning differently from one another. The pace of learning is set by the children, where they often stay motivated and enjoyed working with the materials. The multisensory, interactive environment stimulates their learning. Excellent teacher-to-child ratio further helps the child to excel in their learning.
3) Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Children with ASD can have trouble reading body language and social cues, giving and grasping certain kinds of messages, and being able to cope with some environmental stimuli.
Splendore's Home Intervention Programme is a good fit for them. We provide a structured lesson setting, with routines which offer stability. Our tailored curriculum and hands-on approach to learning can be engaging. Excellent teacher-to-student ratio (1:1) further helps the child to excel in their learning and communication with the world.
4) Physical conditions
Some children have physical conditions, such as Hypertonia, Hypotonia, Cerebral Palsy (CP), etc... With a variety of developmental, emotional and cognitive delays due to physical conditions, it seems impossible for them to keep up with their peers, even when given a choice of activities. Reject those thoughts, we are here to help them!
In Splendore, we provide appropriate activities accordance to their developmental age, strengths and challenges of the child. Excellent teacher-to-student ratio (1 to 1) and Home intervention activities further help the child to excel in their learning.
